The audiobooks.com version scrambles the chapters - so all the dad's chapters are upfront, and then halfway through the book is Lukas' intro and then all of his reflections. :/

This was a really emotional story.

I find this life story so fascinating. The time of his childhood and the lens with which the world is viewed is informative. I like learning about the father from early childhood up to getting married (so far). It takes a bit more concentration to listen to but I am glad the author reached out to me about this story. The father and I are very different but the story of mental illness rings to true to mine.

I'm finding it very easy to listen to the story. I've always had a fondness for coming of age stories set in the 50s. The farm life is something I never really knew about so it's interesting to learn more about it now.
