A guy looking for Ali day’s dad held her hostage for money. Adrian heard her cries and came to rescue her. She told him she loved him and they kissed breaking the spell but now she knows he was Kyle Kingsbury all along.

Lindy found an apartment for her and her dad. He started using again. He took off and now she is all alone. She keeps trying to find Adrian but she can’t remember where the house is. Kendra came to her in a dream and said he is running out of time.

Lindy found her dad. Adrian sent her money. It’s enough for her to pay rehab for her dad and find them a new place to live. She misses him but has to take care of her dad. She lost her scholarship at Tuttle and had to register at a different school. Things are not going well.

Lindy was going to tell Adrian she loves him but she can’t without knowing how her dad is doing. Adrian shows her his mirror. She asks to see her dad. He is homeless sleeping on a pile of garbage on the street. He is also sick. Adrian tells Lindy to go to him and help him. She said she will come back. She never told Adrian she loves him.

Adrian had taken Lindy to his house in the mountains. They have been enjoying the snow. Lindy has decided that she loves him and wants to stay with him forever, even if it means she is locked away. She plans to tell him tonight that she loves him but she wants to check on her dad one last time. Probably not the best thing to do.

It’s Christmas time and Adrian is doing whatever he can for Lindy to make it special and wonderful. He loves her and Lindy thinks she loves him but she cannot tell him because she wants more for her life.

Lindy has fallen in love with Adrian. She can’t tell him though because there is no way she can be with him. Not because of his looks but because she would be trapped in the house. She wants to be able to go places like the park and enjoy the leaves falling.

Lindy went and saw Adrian’s rose garden. He has a flower named after her. She doesn’t know if he is nice or a stalker lol They both had tutoring with Will and Lindy talked about Shakespeare. Adrian enjoys intellectual conversations so Lindy doesn’t think this will be so bad anymore.

Lindy went downstairs and met with Adrian. They talked for a little. Adrian explained he lives by himself because his dad can’t stand the way he looks. He asked if Lindy wants Will to tutor her and she says yes. Adrian is so happy that Lindy came and talked with him.

Lindy woke from sleeping and saw a bird perching above her door. The bird turned into Kendra from school and she was singing. Lindy followed her to the living room. She showed Lindy Adrian out in the yard. Lindy still hadn’t seen him. She looked and he is a monster like her dad said. Kendra sang to Lindy to go to him and talk with him. Lindy will go talk with him tomorrow.

Lindy has gone to Adrian King’s house (Kyle Kingsley’s new name since turning into the beast). Her dad lied to her about why she has to go here. They aren’t in danger. He made a deal to avoid going to jail for some criminal activity that was caught on tape. He broke into the Kingsley’s house. Lindy is made but the living arrangements are wonderful. Food, heating, shelter, and books!

Lindy’s father is in bad debt and the person he owes money to said he will come hurt Lindy until he gets his money back. To protect her, Lindy’s dad calls an old friend who owes him a favor to have Lindy stay with him. He agreed and said he has a son who needs a friend. Lindy’s dad says he is a wolf like freak of a boy.

Linda works at the dance. Kyle and Sloane come in together. Sloane isn’t wearing the corsage Kyle got her. He asks Lindy if she wants it. It is a white rose. She takes it and keeps it. She will always thing of roses now when she thinks of Kyle.

Lindy has to be the adult at home because her dad does nothing. He doesn’t work and is addicted to drugs. She wants her knight and shinning armor to come rescue her. She is tired of taking care of herself.

Kyle is dating the hottest girl at school, Sloane Hagen. She is the hottest girl and he is the hottest guy which is why they are together. They are going to the 9th grade dance together.

Lindy has a crush on the richest, most popular guy in school, Kyle Kingsbury. He doesn’t really know her other than a brief conversation they had. He mentions not knowing much about his dad. Mostly because his dad works a lot as a news anchor. Lindy doesn’t know her dad because he is a drug addict.
