Status Updates From Black Britain: A Photograph...

I actually have used part of this for a uni assignment but it's such a beautiful book I'm going to take it home and read it! I mean technically the majority of it is photographs but you know what I mean.

This book and its collection of images shows the formation of Britain's black diaspora and the tumultuous process of settlement. This book is not attempting to portray a "simple journey from invisibility to visibility" of black people but rather uses the still images to provide meaning when we consider the context of the twentieth century Britain. Only a little way through and it is eye-opening greatness
