Status Updates From The Castle in the Forest

This novel is just so ambitious! I'm not sure he quite hit the mark, but I do enjoy the fact that he made young Hitler so human.

This coronation thing feels like a huge tangent... parts of this book are well paced and others are bogged down in extraneous detail.

Heavy use of the beehive metaphor in this book.

Since I'm constantly reading books about WW2 and Hitler, a friend of mine kept telling me to read this. So I'm reading it....

It is not what I expected, but it is creative and intriguing. The author makes the interesting choice of sexualizing basically everything.... I mean, he referenced incest and beasteality within the first few pages and did not stop there. I'm expecting Nazi orgies by the end.
