Status Updates From Fruitful Women of the Bible...

The number of times I have written “NO” in the margin is upsetting. Loose interpretations, lots of liberties, false information, and just overall didn’t let the Bible lead the way.

Eh. There’s better books about women of the Bible I could suggest you spend time with.

Just really poor teaching. Sloppy. Poor examples of fruit.

Example—Martha as an example of Love in John 11; Sarah as an example of Patience in Gen 29.

They are literal examples of the opposite fruit in these passages. Self-centered.

Puts Rachel as example of patience bc of her waiting to marry Jacob for 14 years— it was only 7 + 1 week. Just frustrating. Little to no scripture refs or sources. Big stretches

Reading for a book club. Not my favorite so far. reading with a critical eye.I like the idea of the book. Poor execution through 1st chapter imo. Trying to chew & spit. Author makes a lot of assumptions of the biblical women she chose without really exegeting any passages.

Huge con is that all the sources used aren’t specifically cited AND 98% are all websites; of the 3 books cited—one is a dictionary. Bummer
