Miller notes that the Trump supporter, in general, is not aberrant but an expression of Jacksonian America. This is the evolved culture in much of the South and Midwest. He does not use this expression (I believe by Mark Noll), this culture is very religious but vaguely Christian. A bit more sympathetic to the evangelical Trump supporter than I am, but it appears a good analysis of our condition.
