Status Updates From Black Punk Now

i have to stop getting frustrated at not understanding everything in books about the american punk scenes because i know very little names of said american punk scene
like girl that's a you problem !

I don't understand the choice to make Princess and The Pit the first piece in the collection. Though I enjoyed the careful imagery and positive descriptions of Black hairstyles, the story itself didn't flow well and the ending felt deeply strange. The rest of the pieces are okay, but I think I'd just prefer to be in a mosh pit over reading about one (personal bias)
