A 4.5 but I round up. Tight story, great characters, connection between those two for situations and dialogue. Adventure and intrigue that didn’t overwhelm the story. Lower steam than her other books - I don’t mind high or low steam as long as a storyline, H and h, and hea make sense so that’s not a negative from me. Just wish a little longer for a bit more private conversations or time together overall

Lots of adventure in this but it doesn’t detract from the romance. Definitely the best in this series. I’m enjoying both the H and h.

Best in this series by far. I felt the other two just lacked her writing voice. I’m glad this one found it again.

This book feels like the first in this series that sort of has the non-Tudor HM writing style. I’m really enjoying it more than the other books in this series.

Yay , a new HM book. She doesn’t disappoint. Always solid. This isn’t my favorite series of hers - not bc of her, but because I am not that interested in Tudor stuff, but she is so passionate about it and she’s autobuy for me.
