This is honestly a really interesting read. I'm amazed when I asked in Waterstones a few years ago about a book on the Great Game, they suggested instead Silk Roads by Frankopan. That said I'm glad I'm reading in this order, same as reading this after the Napoleon biography last year. Some history things are certainly making more sense now
