The final story seems hellbent on tossing in as many penosi euphemisms as can be stuffed in…

The third story is a comedy mash up of Candyman and Freddy Krueger, and a flasher. Brilliant.
But I do wonder how this will all tie together.

The irony of this book is that the middle tale is actually a great “bad” folk horror story.
Hopefully the final part pulls it all together.
Still having a giggle with it.

It's a fun story this, but making it effectively a three volume novel makes the audio-book version a slight chore.
That's not a quibble with the writing, the joke works, but it becomes a belaboured experience after a while, and the fact this is effectively 3 stories in one is getting on.

Very silly, funny but also it’s trying hard to do something a little smarter underneath.

This is fun, but there’s an arduousness to the plot that while indicative of the sort of bad writing he’s parodying doesn’t feel conducive to cracking on with it. Something. I also felt with the parts of Terrortome I read.

A riot of silliness. I never finished Terrortome having picked up the book a few years back, but the audiobook of Incercerat is on a whole other level.
