Status Updates From Hy Brasil: A novel

So the middle has been a mixture of fun slice of life, intriguing world building and slogging exposition and character interactions. At least now everything has seemingly exploded and all threads are being tied together. I’ve really enjoyed the chaos of Jed and Colombo, but I’ve struggled with the politics and history that links people together. It feels very scatterbrained at times and hard to follow.

The slice of life bits are very enjoyable to read. You feel like the island is lived on and has a history that every native resident is connected to.

Digging up ghosts in a way that feels real

Sadly this is proving to be a bit of a slog.
