I was absolutely dying to read this book, and I’ve finally bought it. I thought it was non-fiction, but apparently it’s a historical novel that recounts the events of Trafalgar through fictional characters based on real Spanish people. The introduction is wonderful; I’ve learnt a whole load about Galdós. So far, so good – I’ll keep you updated!
