Status Updates From The Abernathy Boys

Reading again to Gunnar. We love this story!

Definitely enjoying this little adventure story.

This is based on the true story of a two young boys in 1909 riding alone across the caprock with permission from their US Marshall father, going on a real adventure. They were given horses, supplies and $100. Amazing! I had no idea kids could do this back then. Learning lots of new words in here too!

A hidden gem! Never heard of this book until a neighbor was cleaning her shelves out and passed it to me as a suggested read. Fun read aloud with my kids!
