Black Thirst - Hmm, pretty sexist with white Western world sense of beauty and how it is percieved. Fascinating reading the classics. Moore is female and so this story had a tinge of submission in service to the patriarchy. Gotta sell stories back in the 40s and 50s. Still Moore has better writing skills than many of the "Grand Masters". She will not ever be a feminist icon, however...

Shambleau - interesting story about a space vampire/medusa. Within the context that this is the golden age of scifi, it was intriguing and well written.
