I apparently stumbled on a heavily annotated version of the Novel and the introduction almost put me off. The author was *super stoked* about including a hyperlinked mountain of crap about *how* he wrote the book because apparently that was what some fans wanted.

Good news. I can just ignore all the *notes* and carry on reading without 'enjoying' the process because apparently everyone is an aspiring author...
