finished the conference last night and immediately moved into my new flat. I'm fucking exhausted but very happy to be back!!!!!! also I may have just treated myself to a book:)

i love the way lucien talks to nou. it reminds me of when i was 11 and we were learning the basics of energy. and afterwards i went and asked my biology teacher where the sun got its energy from if it was responsible for all energy and life on earth. and instead of telling me i’d find out when i was older or that its too complicated for a year 7, he taught me about nuclear fusion and how it works

this is such an insanely batshit (incredible) premise. they’re planning to build pluto its own star to MELT SPUTNIK PLANITIA (an ice cap i’m fucking fascinated with btw) to encourage any phyto based life to rear its head. completely fucking insane (compliment). and the author has a phd in planetary science so i’m very excited to see where this goes.
