I’m glad this is a short book because it’s a bit hard. I’ve looked up at least 5 words, and I love that!

meant to finish this on my holiday but had no time or bandwidth. so far the only horror in this book is religious bigotry. i enjoyed the atmosphere of Mandelo's wolf book a lot more

Ohhhhh my god I knew it would get disturbing and interesting I’ve been craving some good horror

So atmospheric and leaves you in an air of tension and worry even while the mc is just going to the outhouse, I’m desperate to learn his and the town’s secrets

“…and plenty of women of childbearing age, either with their parents or on a husband’s arm” lord

What I really wanna say is that I feel so worried for the main character, which is entirely what I’m meant to feel so honestly! Good work so far!
The writing itself takes a slight bit more work to understand and interpret, but nothing that really kills the vibe and it works well to set the time period within the word choices. Very engrossing
