As a reviewer wrote, "the most complete and interesting one-volume source on the people of the American continents before Columbus". That pretty much says it, but I enjoyed his great and better known masterpiece of a book "Gods, Graves & Scholars" years ago, so it has been fun to renew acquaintanceship w/ Mr. Ceram. Also good timing, with Columbus Day on the horizon in a week. Interesting defense of the Admiral.
