I liked this better as a metaphor for grief. This chapter turned into a Supernatural episode and sucked all the air out of the room. Hope it gets better, but now I have some doubts...

I know it’s fucked up, but there’s something romantic and intimate about Nick only letting the darkness out when it was just him and Sam. His safe space that he needed to make understand.

He only mentions HIS movements, HIS breathing. Why?

I think the initial doctor knew a bit too much about Nick’s condition and wanted to keep him there to prevent what happened at the next hospital—the “bioterrorism” deaths. Keep it contained to the mountains that caused it.

The tense/time changes are pissing me off, but “Dont believe them. It wasn’t an accident” has me locked in.
