i needed a comfort book after my past few reads. if you’re into journal-like writing with a not straightforward plot, this is good and easy.

that quietness isn't quietness at all, its a way of holding themselves above the ones who make the real noise, like me. and in the end, they exhaust us and they get what they want anyway.

A fast pased read, I couldn't put it down, despite the fact at the end less and less happened. I love the lack of speech marks and how it is told like a cross between a person telling a story to the one listening, and the mulling over and personal details of the sort found in a private diary.
