Status Updates From Hedging Your Bets

There is no chemistry. I’m over halfway through the book and the characters have finally gotten together, but there is nothing that warrants their relationship other than the fact that they are neighbors and she is helping him with his garden. And what is with this imaginary character that Gillian has going on?? This character adds no value to the story other than fluff. I’m kind of annoyed.

I’m going to finish the book off principle.
The book is fine, but not great.
I feel like the characters were thrown at me. I got a basic back story for Gillian and Noah; I’m lost with some of the supporting characters because who are these people, why are there so many, and why are they significant?! She could have done more work regarding character development which would have made the book more intriguing.
