I’ve already complained the book is dated but it had a “Native American guide” story and it was… uncomfortable reading. He’s trying to identify his own racism and barely succeeding.

The story about the Hill house curse was interesting. Mainly b/c of the name and some similar features.

I enjoy his sensationalist writing style but his editor REALLY should’ve told him that some of his terminology and phrasing just isn’t acceptable for post-1990s audiences. It’s inconsistent and comes off as racist at times but at other times uses the contemporary terms. Bizarre.
