Currently reading about the boom of Netscape. It's interesting to see how big it became in 90s, but by the time the 2010s came around it was nothing more than a shadow of its former self. The briefness of a large company like Netscape makes me wonder how long the current giants of this era like Google or Amazon are going to last before they fade away.

Currently reading about how Kleiner & Perkins, a venture capital firm, got founded. It turns out they are still an active firm that is known as KPCB and it is one of the largest venture capital firms in Silicon Valley and that it has funded many companies including Google, Aol, Amazon, Netscape, and Twitter. I have never heard of this firm but I guess they have lots of money.
