Nice pacing! I think this would be a good read for a Percy Jackson-type reader except this book is a little quicker and the writing is for the slightly younger. 5th graders, maybe?

Our current family read-aloud has had the kids - and even my husband - laughing out loud. When I called "bedtime" at the end of today's chapters, they (the kids, not David) were literally trying to wrench the book out of my hands in desperation for one more chapter. Definitely a winner so far!
