The author has painstakingly detailed his own beliefs on how “gothic” the album is by delving into a history of the term gothic itself. He has also spent pages describing the kudzu on the front cover. What started off as a fairly interesting history of the album and track by track analysis has turned into what I can only describe as a desperate attempt to fill up the word count, thesaurus firmly grasped in hand.
