Status Updates From V.

This is the second time this summer I've come across the word "apocheir" in a book. And they were most decidedly *not* astronomy books.

Absolutely filtered for the past two weeks by the Stencil chapters. I get the point of their existence as the appearances of the V. and a narrative connector to past and current versions like the V mirror structure but also they’re oh so long. Where is Pig Bodine I say. I miss Pig Bodine.

+ full of peculiar ideas, e.g. blend between animate/inanimate, people turning into objects and objects having intent. a dentist seeing the soul in the teeth. soldiers feeling like stone masons while killing Hereros (fucked up thought).
- too many characters with little to differentiate them, and at points it drags on.
clearly an original thinker, looking forward to his later and better crafted books
