I wanna dnf this so bad

I hit a spot in the book where an outcome of an event seemed fantastical...and another spot later that didn't hit me right. If not for those things, it might have been a five-star book. However, to quote "Caroline" who left a review of this book & Jo Goodman's stories: "Twisting plots, clever dialogue, subtle characterization...it all works so well for me."

I can't figure out why more people do not read/rate this author's books.

p.153 "He was like a child, she thought; a child who had just discovered his often-neglected pull toy had lost its string. He wanted it fixed so his whims would dictate if it followed him or was left behind."

i really love Jo Goodman

i just love the sardonic and subtle humor in jo goodman's dialogues
