Omg. This book feels so preachy about all the sacrifices made by soldiers. It comes up like every other page. Zzzzzzz

Errrrrr... I'm only 10 percent in and I feel like I've seen the word "marine" a million times and about how they are serving the country blah blah. I get it. I know what a marine is and his contributions.

Although this is definitely a romance, there's a very nice secondary theme about family--about always having a place where you know you belong are are accepted.

Yeah, love was so easy, that’s why she was developing an ulcer."

Quote: Al took a step back and raised a hand in defense. “Yo, cookie boy, I get the picture. No need to sputter all over Uncle Al, here, 'kay?”

Also: the writing is solid. Good editing. Haven't noticed any unnecessary, overly-detailed, distracting, why-the-hell-did-they-put-this-in-here conversation as you see in some authors' work (and with my ADD, I'd be the one to notice!!).

Still enjoying this one! I'd describe it as a laidback-feel-good-for-lazy-days read.

In just these few short pages, I've been completely sucked in, man! This is very cute!
