Status Updates From Lucifer's Odyssey

Am I the only one a little jarred by some of the names? Lucifer, Sariel, Elandril, Batarel, and then Anne and Phillip. Just thought it was a little funny. (I will admit that a lot of the source mythology is lost on me, so if these names are in direct reference to someone (as many of the others are) then I apologize for my ignorance)

Honestly, the world building in this novel is unreal. It's very interact and richly detailed.

"What's wrong with him?"
"We caught him sodomizing a flock of geese,"

Sariel is my favorite character so far.

Finally getting around to reading one of the books I won from a Goodread's giveaway. The author left the sweetest personalized notes in each book (I won the trilogy) and so I thought I'd jump in.

I will probably not read this book. On the first page Lucifer, a name we use for Satan, is set up as a character seeking righteous judgement and Jehovah, the Jewish name for the Lord, is portrayed as the bad guy. I see no point in going past that point.
