Interesting so far! The first part of the book is a lot of what is covered in the first few chapters of The Routledge History of Queer America edited by Don Romesburg. It was fun to be like ooh I remember learning about this before!!

Excited for the chapters to come. Also I learned that the author of this is still alive and does want to watch Our Flag Means Death

Somehow with the intent of proving pirates were all fuckin each other, this man has just spent like 7 pages detailing his calculations about how many men per tons of cargo were employed by britain’s merchant fleet?

This man is kind of throwing shit at the wall and hoping it sticks with this research but it’s a vibe
