These characters are so odd…and the way they talk is soo strange 🥸

“She turns toward me, her eyes searching, and I realize suddenly that Stella I someone who is unmothered.”

Who talks like that?! And who says “unmothered”? Weird.

I’m not sure about the writing style…it feels very stiff and surface level…telling but not showing. Like an info dump rather than an immersive story.

I love Bake Off, so I’m going to stick it out, but so far so meh.
