I definitely don’t relate to desperately searching for connection to a historical figure who was likely queer and who I relate to in intangible and powerful ways and would go nearly anywhere to feel closer to them

this is dragging on much too long, but I am fascinated by how birds are used to represent queerness, and not just in this book, but in other books I've read.
