Status Updates From Pemberley Celebrations: The...

I'm still slogging my way through this, but I'm still just not feelin' it. It doesn't even seem like Kara Louise's writing style. Not nearly as well written as everything else I've read by her.

This is disappointing so far. It's a series of episodes from the lives of the newlywed Mr. and Mrs. Darcy that, to this point, have no build-up to anything, no obstacles. In short, no structure. The only point seems to be showing how happily married they are. I'm bored. And disappointed. I was expecting much better from this author.

13) A First Anniversary: There are many surprises in this last section. The first year of marriage is drawing to a close and Darcy and Elizabeth have many surprises for each other.

12) A Birthday Blessing: Elizabeth presents Darcy with his best birthday present EVER.

11) All Hallows' Eve: masquerade ball from Darcy's POV... wait, was that at the Meryton Assembly? How could he walk Elizabeth home? Something isn't right. Why is Mr. Bennet crying? It is the 8th month and a thunder storm.

10) Michaelmas: It is the 7th month...Richard arrives and Georgiana is all grown up.

9) A Midsummer's Day: magical spell, potions or Fairies... naw... it's just Lady Catherine coming to call and stick her nose in everyone's business.

8) May Day: Promises of new life on a spring day.

7) Easter: A time of renewal and a time for forgiveness.
Lady Catherine... sends a request... em, insists that Darcy and Elizabeth come to Rosings for Easter. Elizabeth feels they should make the attempt to bridge the gap between them. This was hilarious as Lady C tried to put them in different rooms on different floors.

6) Valentine's Day: The gift of love. Elizabeth finds an old love letter that belonged to Darcy's mother. It was not from Darcy's father. They have an excellent discussion first love.

5) New Year's Eve: Out with the old and in with the new. Back in London, Darcy and Elizabeth attend a New Year's Ball. Darcy comes face to face with someone from his past, and Elizabeth must face London's premiere gossip.

4) A Family Christmas: Darcy surprises Elizabeth with the best present of all... Family

3) A Christmas Surprise: Elizabeth is overcome by the quiet at Pemberley. She is accustomed to the noise and activity of Longbourn. She is missing all the activity. Darcy surprises her and Georgiana with ice skates and teaches her how to skate.

2) A Special Christmas Dinner: Tis the Season of Serving.

1) Decorating Pemberley for Christmas: This was so cute as the newlywed Elizabeth was helping Mrs. Reynolds with decorating Pemberley for the Season. She learns of traditions that stopped with the death of Lady Anne and the elder Mr. Darcy. She and Georgiana decide it is time to start their own traditions.
