I am sufficiently pissed off by the stereotypical black woman who speaks broken English; the one forced to raise her child alone because her baby father up and disappeared. There's no other way to write black women in the South, right?

It's great to see Melissa coming into her own woman in her career and personal life. I'm looking forward to reading more of this book.
