“Won’t the judge if the whole earth di what is right? (Genesis, 18:25). Ultimately, god is fair. Nobody will be able to walk away from the judgement and say god wasn’t fair to me.”

“Remember he [God] doesn’t send people there [hell], people end up there because they’ve chosen to live separately from god their whole lives […]”

“Another reason I don’t believe in reincarnation is that the evidence for it, things like memories of past lives, an be explained by other means: psychological explanations, or lucky guesses, or even demonic influence.”

but your divine intervention is of course completely rational and not at all stemming from religious psychosis /s

“But I believe that truly the worst thing a person can do is to mock and dishonour and refuse to love the person that we owe absolutely everything to: god, our creator.”

“when we think about the worst thing a person can do, usually we’ll say it’s harming animals or destroying the environment […] and no question, all of those are horrible.”

yet I highly doubt, you’re a vegan. so don’t tell me anything about how horrible you find animal cruelty when you’re taking part in it

the Israelites in the bible were colonisers pt. 2:
- “the act is presented as God's judgment on Canaanite "abominations," not merely a political power grab, though this theological framing itself has been used to justify later violence” BULLSHIT

as for my argument that the Israelites were colonisers in the bible:
- god told them to systematic displace and kill indigenous Canaanite populations, which is a core element of settler colonialism
- “the conquest is framed within a specific covenant between God and Israel, giving them a unique, divinely ordained claim to the land, distinct from secular colonialism” BULLSHIT

“Other details about warfare in those days help me understands gods mercy a little better. […] Whenever the Israelites went into an enemy city, they were first to make an offer of peace. If the people accepted it, they wouldn’t be killed. […] Whoever has wanted to be saved, God has saved.”

oh yes, defend colonisers, so true bestie /s

“[…] you may have problems with […] I sure did […] god tells his people, the Israelites, to wipe out their enemies […] until I realised one important thing about god: whoever has repented, god has been willing to save. […] when the firstborn in Egypt died, any family that followed gods directions about marking their homes were spared”

“And that brings me to what may be the most importantly good thing that god could bring out of your pain and suffering. God might just use it to get your attention and draw you close to him.”

If god needs to afflict pain on me to get my attention, he can fuck off :3

“So it’s at least possible that god is wise enoufh to foresee that we need some pain for reasons which we may not understand but which he foresees as being necessary to some eventual good. Therefore he’s not being evil by allowing that pain to exist.”
