Status Updates From Winter's Tale

Whelp Peter Lake is back, and in the future. Yay. In the meantime two more couples met, and randomly fell in love. One simply saw the lady and fell head over heels. Is this a normal thing that happened to men in the 80s? Just wondering. The other met his lady through a wall asked her to marry him before meeting her irl. Better, but still odd. Hopefully Peter will do something interesting in 90s NYC.

This book is a slog. I’m reading it for book club and honestly struggling to listen to more than 20 min at a time. There’s a lot of random characters being introduced, that have nothing to do with the central plot. The original love story was hard to read - 40 year old man with a 18 year old girl who is dying. Ew. Instant love, no build up. I have 25 days to finish it, wish me luck. 😒
