Not really sure what to say about the first book. It didn't really have a straight plot (no pun intended). It kind of went all over until it ended. I don't think I ever knew where it was going to go. But the last few chapters were really good and I like the open ending.

I actually really enjoy the commentary that he's sharing. It feels like genuine thinking even if it's not the way I would think about things, but then I read something that feels so relatable, that I'm surprised I never thought to put it into the same words.

The main character is a transphobic to transmasculine people despite being amab genderqueer AND transmisogynistic to trans women (lmao calling them "mtfs" and seeing them as nothing but cocks unless they're post-op and even then seeing them as basically gay men) and yet sometimes I agree with his points on gender being a complete construct of society and the want for abolishing cisheterosexuality

This is honestly one of those books you have to read in small doses because sometimes the embarrassment and vulgarity of it all is too much, but the content and characterizations are actually very grounded and founded in truth. Realistic but not the kind people like to talk about

This man is a walking embodiment of vulgarity and intrusive thoughts come to life. I am both entranced and put off.

Literally already have so many notes and highlights but yeah gender is fake and social contructs are stupid. This book is literally the phrase "be gay, do crime"
