Status Updates From Skeleton Crew

Finished “The Ballad of the Flexible Bullet”, where the story continues as the editor becomes almost as crazy as Reg Thorpe.

While I do feel the story is a bit too long, I can still appreciate the themes of sanity slippage, madness and unstable writing very clearly, with the editor as the storyteller. It’s stunning to know his mental state & its progress though the story.

Just started reading “The Ballad of the Flexibility ble Bullet” where a magazine editor recalls the days where he encounters a short story by Reg Thorpe and the domino effect that Reg’a fragile mind had on him.

I really like the storyline of it, as it dissects the madness of the mind with writing, while using a flashback device to recall how the editor went a little crazy thanks to Reg’s Ramblings.

It's been awhile since I started this book, actually quite a few years have passed. I barely remember reading the other stories..Just finished the wedding Jaunt. Not my favourite short story of his. I'm pretty certain a couple of the previous ones have been made into films such as the mist and the monkey.
