Wow. That was deep. I’m going to ponder this story for a while. I want to consider the implications of evolutionary ethics. Well done Mr. Diskson.

Johnny's cousin Patrick has spent the last six years with the Landers. He knows that the Space Swimmers, aka Space Bats, are making increasingly frequent visit near earth. Why? Patrick slips into the sea to return to his people.

The first two chapters briefly summarize the previous book and introduce the characters of Johnny Joya and his son Tomi. Beyond that, it's a lot of psionic/magic psychological hooie. Johnny closes his eyes and sees something--an analog--that gives him mystical insight into how to help the sea-born defeat the Landers.
