i have so much sympathy for edith. it can’t be good for your faith in yourself to be married to such a domineering asshole. he treats her like a child, like she knows nothing and he knows everything. he’s so unwavering in his opinions and is so inflexibly obsessed with his own superiority. he thinks he’s too smart to be wrong, which is literally the inverted sign of true intelligence. he’s so annoying.

i think fischer is the only character i genuinely like.
