Looking forward to re-reading this O'Brien as I read so long ago, the plot has faded from my mind...
"What mystifies me is how an actress from Paris comes strolling in here of all things, this quiet evening"....this quote from the narrative sets the scene...it's 1939, the last summer before the war and a French actress turns up in a small Irish town...an event that sets the whole town by the ears...
