Status Updates From Mark: The Gospel of Passion...

I enjoyed reading this alongside my reading of the Gospel of Mark. I appreciated being reminded along the way of the relationship with and influence of Peter; but especially of how meaningful this gospel would have been to the intended recipients, those early Jewish Christians under increasing persecution in Rome for their faith. It helped me to interact with the book of Mark in ways that I had not done before.
