Having a tough time getting through this one. It's just not put together well. The conversational tone of the protagonist is grating, far too full of puns and pointless observation. I'll try to struggle through, there's some potential here.

Superheroes work for something called the "New World Common Wealth." They're glorified private security guards making great salaries....They've managed to ruin the best part of being a superhero.

The guys back at the institution told me about a "pacifist leader" who "united the world." That's the head of the New World Common Wealth I've been hearing so much about.
