I would like to learn more background information about Ella, she is the girl the family is hiding in the book and we don't know much about her. They just seem to mention a lot for what she isn't used to or doesn't have but I wanna know the back story.

The helper in my book are the parents who are hiding Ellen from the soldiers because she is a Jew.

I would say a necklace, something that means a lot that you take everywhere and hide it when you know people will take it and its important to you. l

yes, it has a very good purpose of providing how the girls feel and it shows me how frightenend the girls are to be a jew in somewhere they are not welcomed and many others.

Ellan wants leather shoes but due to the gaurds and stuff there is no leather so it is made with fish skin which ellan atleast wants painted black ;

This genre is I would say historical fiction which is not something I would usually read. I am usually more of a horror and mystery person but this book is very intreging.
