Really love how this book encourages you to slow down with every gospel. It gives history to each author of a gospel, helps you understand the audience each disciple is writing to, and encourages the reader to note specific themes, nuances of meaning, and the similarities and differences between how each gospel is organized. Worthwhile, meaty, deep dive so far.

Still a weighty book with some really deep takeaways interweaving God's plan and history. The "fullness of God's timing," that Paul speaks of in Galatians 4 comes alive in these recent sections.

This is the beefiest, collegiate level book I've read in a while! Woo, boy! haha Making my way through the first chapter, I can tell this is going to take me a bit. But I think it'll be worth the process as I read this for a theological course I'm taking this year called "Timothy and Titus." 1st chapter explores the validity of the bible and skeptics common arguments against its being a trustworthy, historical book.

One of the best books that I have read. I love history and this book contains a lot of it and gives a great in depth study of each book in the New Testament. I would really recommend this book and I have not even gotten halfway through it.
