I really like this---a few poems each evening.

So, so, so good.

so funny, my reading list is dictated now by library book due dates. someone recalled this and now I have to read it, finally

I love how much these poems stay in nature, how nature becomes a metaphor for beauty and pain--but it's not lions eating lions. It's birds and flowers and deer and dogs. I very much enjoyed these poems after I got into the book. Some of these poems are among the best I've ever read. 4.5 stars.

Some of these are excellent poems. Some pay so much attention to sound and are so dense that I'm reminded of Gerard Manley Hopkins. This is a different collection than what I've been reading lately. It's a good change.
