Ohhhh my goood! Okay i knew something terrible was going to happen, but not this!!!! I just can't :( I applaud the author for bringing attention to the HIV/AIDS crisis.

I wish this novel were a movie because i definitely see it being on BET or something

I am trying not to judge this book so harshly, so early, but the author makes it so hard to with the blatant colorism. So far, the main character has a preference for butterscotch toned men, with "naturally curly hair" aka not kinky, and hazel colored eyes (or just light eyes in general. Like, in multiple paragraphs the main character keeps pointing this out. Ugh.
