Lacrimosa rocks. Really the star of this novel so far.

Not great that only two of them could transform

Pretty good start to an intense battle.

Everyone’s got their roles. Pacing is off, but it’s battle time.

Another seemingly pointless short chapter.

Quick but compelling reunion. Another little hopeful hallmark before battle.

Good to keep up with these two. The pacing has gotten quicker I feel. Almost illogically given the point we’re at with the book.

Really great at highlighting the insecurity this would all cause in anyone, but especially Agnus Dei.

This chapter was a nice moment. One brief luxury before the war.

I love the star stuff with Requiem. We have hope!

So, I both like and hate this. I think it’s really fun for all these different magical creatures and monsters that we’ve seen before to be in Irae’s army. I like a diverse force and just bringing back everything in the ultimate foe.

I don’t like that it makes no sense how most of them are there. The numbers don’t make sense. Most of the troops don’t make sense.

I’m torn.

I forgot the Icelings went out this way. Very sad. Would have been cool to learn more about them and their culture.

I forgot about Agnus Dei’s maiming. All in all this was a great prison break. Emotional and impactful.
