The Stephen Roos story was quite touching. Simple, elegant, poignant.

The James Howe story was not my favorite. Too many perspective shifts without unique voices for each character.

Man that Alex Sanchez story hit me right in the heart. Soooo 90s queer experience. All the slurs being thrown around like confetti. I almost want it to be studied by kids so they know what it was really like. But I partially wonder if all the slurs are why this book got discarded from the school library.

The story by Lori Aurelia Williams is probably the best in this anthology, so far.

Some of the stories are pretty good.

Can't relate. I laughed several times though because some things were funny. 40 pages in and I already think this will float somewhere between 2 and 3*
