If he did not retrieve the amulet soon, he would surely die in this bizarre, nightmarish world. Above all, he must keep his wits about him every moment. This much he knew: the Underdark was no place for those who dreamed.

Beautifully written, but so far, Liriel girlbosses a little too hard, there’s loredumping east and west, little natural or snappy dialogue and a lot of telling (not showing). However, I’m enjoying myself.

Liriel is slowly turning into one of favorite characters in the realms. She's decent in spite of her upbringing.

Shit went sideways quick. Vhaerun is a douche god if we base it around followers. Of course, if we did that, then what God wouldn't be...

A time of peace???? In menzo??? I also didn't expect this all to come crashing down on propel liriel as quickly as it did

I love liriel. She's exactly the kind of character I wanted to see in menzo. The drizzt series simply follows the major players and it's nice to get to see what everyday life is like.

I love liriel and I'm fairly nervous as to how her story ends seeing as how she's never mentioned again in the main drizzt stories to my recollection.
Also not a fan of the horse dying.

I'm liking the glimpse into the lower class life in menzo. Gromph shaking a child was unusual and I'm definitly interested to see where that goes
